Our Approach to Belief
At Life On Mission Church, we hold tightly to what the Bible makes clear and hold loosely to what it leaves open.
We believe God calls us to unity in what’s essential, humility in what’s not, and love in everything.
When Scripture is clear, we speak with confidence. When it’s not, we simply say, “We don’t know.”
Our focus is on living out what we do know — loving God, loving people, making disciples, and living on mission together

Core Beliefs
God
There is one true God who has always existed. He shows Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created everything — seen and unseen — and is perfect in love, power, wisdom, justice, and mercy. God never changes and is worthy of all praise.
The Bible
God has made Himself known through creation, through His Word, and most clearly through His Son, Jesus. The Bible is God’s inspired Word — fully trustworthy and true. It teaches us who He is, what He’s done, and how we can live in relationship with Him. Everything we believe and do comes from what the Bible says.
Humanity
Every person is made in God’s image and deeply loved by Him.
We were created to know God and reflect His character through love, creativity, and community.

Sin and Brokenness
Even though God made us good, all of us have turned away from Him.
Our sin broke our relationship with God and brought pain, injustice, and death into the world. We can’t fix this on our own, no matter how hard we try.

Salvation
God’s answer to our brokenness was Jesus. Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, and rose again so we could have new life. Salvation is God’s gift — not something we earn — and it’s received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. When we trust Him, we’re forgiven, made new, and brought back into relationship with God.
The Church
The Church isn’t a building — it’s people who follow Jesus and live out His mission together. As the body of Christ, we are called to love one another, grow as disciples, and share the hope of the gospel with the world.
We recognize that churches can look different from place to place, and we celebrate that diversity as long as each one stays rooted in the Bible and centered on Jesus.

Baptism and Communion
Jesus gave us two symbolic practices to remind us of our faith in Him —baptism and communion. Baptism shows our new life in Christ — our old life is gone, and our new life has begun. Communion helps us remember what Jesus did for us on the cross and reminds us that we belong to Him and to each other. These acts don’t save us; they point us to the One who does.
Discipleship
Following Jesus is a lifelong journey of becoming more like Him.
Discipleship isn’t just about learning information — it’s about transformation.
We grow best together, helping each other live out our faith and multiply the life and love of Jesus wherever we go.

Mission
Every follower of Jesus is called to live on mission — to love their neighbors, serve their communities, and share the hope of Christ. Our church exists to help people discover their purpose and live that mission out in everyday life.
The Future and Christ's Return
One day, Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead and to make everything new. The Bible doesn’t tell us exactly when or how all the details will happen, and that’s okay. Our focus is to live faithfully, stay ready, and keep sharing His love until He comes again.
Unity in Diversity
Throughout history, sincere followers of Jesus have sometimes understood certain passages differently.
We seek unity in the gospel, grace in our differences, and a shared passion for living out our faith together on mission.
